I am Maryanne W. Waweru, a Kenyan journalist, writer, and storyteller.
I started Mummy Tales in 2011 while pregnant with my first child. What initially began as a personal space to document my motherhood journey gradually evolved into a platform that tells the stories of other mothers, women, girls, fathers, and families navigating the different seasons of life.
Through real-life experiences, conversations, and reflections, I explore the joys, challenges and lessons that shape our daily living. My hope is that every story shared on this blog will educate, encourage, inspire, spark conversations, or just let someone know that they are not alone in their journey.
Beyond Mummy Tales, I have spent more than two decades working with words as a journalist, writer, editor, and storyteller. Through my work, I remain committed to amplifying voices and experiences that deserve to be heard.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the stories and find something that resonates with you. I would also love to hear from you. You can reach me at maryanne@mummytales.com
