Have you ever heard of the Baby Banda Motherhood 101 workshops? Most likely you have but incase you haven’t, allow me share with you some brief information on what they’re all about.
The Baby Banda Motherhood 101 workshops are interactive two-day educational events where pregnant moms and their partners, moms and dads with little babies, toddlers and older children get to be in a forum where they receive helpful information from a wide range of specialists where they get to learn about all issues pregnancy, labour, birth, baby care and nutrition.
Then there is always an exhibition area at the event where leading brands dealing with different products/ services showcase their merchandise. There, you get an opportunity to shop for great products and a chance to win exciting give-aways! (I’m yet to find a mother who doesn’t love give-aways)
And you know what the best part about the Baby Banda fairs? They are completely free of charge and are open to both men and women.
The Baby Banda Motherhood 101 workshops initially started out in Nairobi, but I am happy to let you know that they have now expanded to other areas. The workshops have been to Mombasa, Thika, Kisumu and Meru! And you know what? This weekend they will be in Kitengela!
So if you know of any expectant mom, new mom or veteran mom who lives around the Kitengela environs, you could let her know of the same and encourage her to attend. I have been to the Baby Banda affairs and one of the great reasons I love them -aside from the learning and shopping experiences, is that I ALWAYS get to meet my old friends -pals I haven’t seen in a long time and it’s always so nice to catch up with them.
The venue for the 7 – 8 March 2015 event will be at the Kitengela Livestock Division Camp grounds, next to the Kitengela Police Station -behind KCB, next to the DO’s office.
Click here to have a look at the programme for the two days and also where you can register to attend the event. You can also see this link to the Motherhood 101 website for more information on motherhood.
By the way if you have a pressing question about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, weaning….anything, feel free to submit it beforehand to the Baby Banda people who will then submit it to their team of medical experts. Your question will then be addressed during the workshop.
