Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.
March 2011: As I start this blog, I am quite pregnant (8 months) and currently undergoing the joys and rigors of pregnancy. Sometimes I feel so frustrated and helpless (I guess courtesy of the raging hormones) I just want to vent my heart out as I cry me a river. Other times I feel very happy and on cloud nine (those hormones again) that I just want to share my joy with the whole world. I am due in April 2011.
I am greatly looking forward to the responsibilities of motherhood, anxious to get into the world of diapers, bibs, oohhs and aahhs… and exactly how I will be hacking that. Or not. On this blog, I will continue capturing my thoughts, fears, feelings, opinions and experiences as my little one grows.
I also look forward to connecting with the parenting community out there…with mums, dads, aunts, grandma’s, grandpa’s… sharing and celebrating all that parenting brings along.
I am Maryanne Waweru-Wanyama, and I write for a living. I live in Nairobi, Kenya with my family. I am a Christian, passionate about telling stories and this blog will be a good way for me to engage in my foremost passion as I spread the message of hope and faith through my own experiences and those of other women, children, mums and dads.
Update – April 2011:
My little boy came in April 2011. I call him Kitty, and you’ll get to know him more through this blog.
Update – April 2013:
Kitty’s baby brother came in April 2013. I call him Ello, and he is so much loved by his older brother. Two boys, exactly two years apart. Their father and I remain totally grateful to God for his blessings.
